From the strange to the soothing, the far out there to the bring you right home this week should bring hopefully a wider pallette of video game game music as well as music inspired by video games!

New CD/Digital Release

On April 20th we saw the release of Big Giant Circles (Jimmy Hinson) of “Mass effect: Remixes” a collection of remixes by Big Giant Circles in 2008 paying tribute to Jack Wall, Sam Hulick, David Kates, and Brian DiDomenico! This week we thought to also include not only this album as well his other recently released album Legacy: Mass Effect a collection of unreleased tracks from Mass effect 2 and B-sides from Another Galaxy a series of unreleased tracks from Mass Effect by Sam Hulick.
As well Traci Hines along with Adam Gubman released their track “Cause and Effect” A Mass effect inspired track on April 22 on iTunes and Amazon Mp3. Alpha Omega radio will be showcasing this track all week long!
As a special promotion of this intense blitz of everything Mass Effect we will be giving away 3 copies of “Legacy by Big Giant Circles this week! If we can get to 100+ Twitter Followers (MUST BE PEOPLE) by the end of this week there will be three draws to win a copy the amazing soundtrack! (Everyone who has followed us before is still entitled to winning! *Only individuals will be entered into the draw*Sorry Game Studio Accounts*)

The Retro Machine

To support Chris Huselbeck’s kickstarter project on releasing the Turrican Anthology we are playing all week long the soundtrack to Turrican!

“I’d like to create a Turrican Soundtrack Anthology Limited Edition Box Set, with nearly all of the music from the Turrican Series of Games. At least 3 CDs will contain these brand new, pristine studio recordings. Even music pieces that were featured on the 1993 Turrican Soundtrack CD will be newly recorded and arranged to update their sound. Highlights will include for the first time: the whole ‘Turrican 2 Title’, ‘Credits’ (all versions), ‘Metal Stars’, ‘Tower of Morgul’, ‘Unidirectional Flight’, ‘Concerto for Laser and Enemies’ and ‘Hall of Heroes’ – all as full length recordings/arrangements.” – Chris Huselbeck
